About me

I’m Léar Fortin—Montréal-born, Bangkok-based jeweler and AIGS-trained gemologist. I’ve been hooked on stones since I was a kid pocketing rocks on hikes. That curiosity grew into a bench career where I learned the craft from the ground up: casting, soldering, polishing, stone setting, and 3D/CAD design. In 2024, I took a leap, completed the Accredited Gemologist program at AIGS, and committed fully to gemstones—and to the people behind them: clients with a vision, artisans shaping the final jewel, and suppliers working at the source. Those human connections are what made me fall in love with this work.

“Trust me” isn’t a policy. Provenance, treatments, and real value matter—and they’re not always easy to navigate as a client. That’s why I doubled down on training, built a team I trust, and run an open-book practice: clear provenance, treatment disclosure, and straightforward pricing.

I’m just getting started. The next chapter is about going deeper at the source, traveling through gem markets, and sharing knowledge through teaching.

Every project begins with a conversation—that’s my favorite part. If you have an idea, let’s bring it to life.
